Madina Grill on Cannon Street in London is a grill house that serves both American and Indian food including gourmet burgers, peri peri chicken, steaks, biryanis & kebabs. The restaurant has a complete Halal menu and has been verified by HalalEat.com, UK.

I was invited to sample the food at Madina Grill and now I am very glad about it. Why? Because the food was heavenly and delectable.

Parking:

In London, finding suitable parking is a time consuming task. It often takes several minutes to roam around until you find a spot, especially the desired one. Luckily, we did find a free parking spot nearby which was just by the side of the road and it just took us less than a minute to reach Madina Grill.  For me, convenient parking is extremely important because I do not prefer walking for long distances and of course, to ensure BabyN' is always warm. For those who don't know, I am talking about my one year old boy.

Seating & Interior:

Our table had been reserved prior to our visit so we simply got seated after being very warmly greeted by the manager. The interior is modern, clean and the rest you can see in the pictures below.

While deciding what to order...

From Ordering till Eating:

We had already made up our mind what to order but the manager was very helpful and suggested some things from the menu which we decided to go with. For the starter, we agreed to go with Madina Sticky Wings that came drenched with the Madina signature sauce. The chicken wings were tender and the sauce was sweet and sour yet spicy. If you love Chinese food, you will love this sauce too! On your visit to Madina Grill, it would be inexcusable if you ignore these sticky wings.

Madina Sticky Wings - 4 costs £4.50, a very fair price!

For the drinks, we opted for Strawberry and Raspberry mocktails which were a love! Most of all, the baby enjoyed the drinks a lot. The drinks were carbonated, included syrup and were topped with crushed ice and mint leaves that worked gorgeously well. Not only is mint healthy but it enhanced the taste of the drink a lot. I would say a spectacular combination, delicious and refreshing!

On the manager's recommendation again, here are our Strawberry and Raspberry mocktails

See the proof of his enjoyment! :D
For the main course, we ordered T - Bone Steak, Chicken Steak and Mix Grill Twist. The T-bone steak is a grilled beef steak that was cooked to our preference and was served with fresh salad, topping and a side. For the side, you can opt for creamy mashed potatoes, fries, mixed vegetables or steak chips while for the topping they offer gravy, Madina signature sauce or the Peppercorn. We opted for mashed potatoes and since the sauces are served separately, we ordered gravy and the Madina signature sauce, which my husband and I shared. Not only were this visually alluring but tasted exemplary and surpassed my expectations because not every restaurant does the steaks well.
The servings were very generous, savouring each mouthful and the portions fit for a king.

The Mix Grill Twist included 1/4 Peri-Peri Chicken, 2 Lamp Chops, 3 Buffalo wings & steak chips. Lamb chops were cooked to perfection with a heavenly flavour of the marinade while the chicken items were enjoyable smoky grill flavour. I also do not enjoy the chips at all the restaurants but Madina Grill did the steak chips very well as they were moist on the inside and beautifully crisp outside.
The sauces were served along with the food and they included tomato ketchup, garlic mayo sauce and Peri Peri hot sauce. I really liked the garlic mayo sauce, it went so well with the Steak fries, it tasted astounding.

No meal is complete without dessert and so we were served a freshly made waffle topped with chocolate syrup, some heavenly Ferrero Rochers accompanied by a scoop of coconut ice cream with some chocolate syrup drizzled on it. I loved it! The combination of the warm waffle with ice cream was super delicious. Rarely do we come across restaurants that stimulates our taste buds so joyfully!

Few Observations:

Madina Grill is popular among the locals as well as other ethnicities, as observed during my visit.
The mocktails we were served were really refreshing but no alcohol is served or allowed on the premises.
Instead of background music, they play Arabic poetry which was very pleasant and soothing to the ear.
In the washroom, every toilet has wash basins and water vessels. However, they do not have a baby changing station.
If you want privacy while you are eating, they do provide a free standing curtain, simply ask for it.
The branch of the restaurant I have reviewed is located on the Cannon Street in London, E1 0LX

Experience with HalalEat.com:

HalalEat.com, is the UK’s first online food portal that was born out of a passion for halal food and its on an ambitious mission to deliver a halal verified takeaway experience to a new mobile generation of Halal conscious foodies that want the assurance of halal to their standards. Currently, they have more than 130 vendors in East London but the company has major plans to expand further across the UK and beyond in 2016. They verify all restaurants before including them on the website in terms of their claim of being Halal and cleanliness (they do not accept any vendors below a minimum of 3 star “Score on the Door”). The website also includes a Halal filter which enables users to filter any characteristics that do not meet their faith.

Ordering food through halaleat.com is fast and easy. Just create an account, verify it and start ordering. To order, just select your desired postcode and food you wish to order after which you will get to view a list of restaurants. Simply select the restaurant, add the food items to your cart, pay online and enjoy the food! Furthermore, you get £5 free account credit on sign up and also earn loyalty cash points which can be redeemed against future orders.

Not leaving the comfort of your home and getting the food at your doorstep is as good as downloading food from the internet. So just log on to halaleat.com and experience the already verified halal eateries and start ordering!

Please note that the delivery time is 45-60 minutes or less and coverage of the serving restaurant listed on HalalEat depends on certain delivery postcodes, please check when ordering. If HalalEat doesn’t cover your postcode, you can always register and recommend restaurants you would like to see on the portal.

End Note:

All the dishes were extremely pleasant and the seasonings had been well achieved. Good portions for fair price, high quality ingredients had been used. To view the online menu card of Madina Grill, click here. I feel the prices have been perfectly set alongside the high quality of food and the extremely efficient service and friendly staff.

You will certainly get your money's worth with their jaw dropping and generous servings! It should be in your list of 'must visit' restaurants!

Rating: 8.5/10

You can recommend the restaurant and Halaleat.com to any of your family members living in the UK. They might benefit as its really difficult to find halal restaurants in a non-Muslim country.

I rate restaurants on the basis of availability of parking, greeting and services, quality of food and ambience.
