Staycation at Hilton London Syon Park

Being aware of the long 3 week winter holidays, it was quite essential for me to plan things to keep BabyN' busy and entertained during the period. Since the school holidays also happen to fall during the festive season, there was lots of fun things I was able to plan and this definitely had to include a relaxing staycation that we all were longing for. After our trip to Canada earlier this year, we decided not to fly out of the country this winter and rather decided to keep things local. However, if you're planning to fly from the Heathrow Airport, then I would recommend staying at a Hilton London Syon Park, as it's away from the hustle bustle of the city, yet under just 6 miles from the airport.

We had a smooth check-in and we headed straight to the room to freshen up after driving all the way from East Kent and after witnessing some unexpected traffic congestion. Complimentary parking is always a positive point for us, and I was really glad the hotel has ample parking available for the guests. Since we were staying for a night, we wanted to ensure to avail the spa facility, however due to the delay in reaching the hotel, BabyN' could hardly spend time in the pool as the pool timing for children was just about to end by the time we reached the spa after grabbing our swimming gear from the bag.

Our room had been tastefully done with modern decor, and the chandelier was a major highlight! The king sized bed was perfect for a good night's sleep and was super comfortable. The amenities in our room included a room fridge, kettle with tea and coffee facility, complimentary water bottles and snacks as well as iron and ironing board, bath robes, slippers and complimentary toiletries.

The whole evening was therefore available, and we decided to explore Southall and to indulge ourselves in some 'good food.' We browsed the streets of the town, had some Chinese food along with some hot piping Jalebi for dessert, that I also decided to takeaway some. There are lots of things to do near the Hilton London Syon Park including the popular Winter Wonderland and various towns to explore, but we've already explored most of it earlier, and wanted to keep our staycation relaxing and be at ease by enjoying more of the hotel amenities and the hotel itself rather than rushing to explore more of London.

After a hearty meal, we decided to retire for the day so we could wake up early the next day to enjoy the hot buffet breakfast and the plan was to immediately head to the pool to make the most of our stay and also to ensure that BabyN' gets to avail the children's pool timings. By the time we reached the restaurant for breakfast, there was hardly anyone around except for a table for 2 that seemed occupied.

We picked up our favourites, which for me is always scrambled eggs as I love eggs for a filling breakfast, however, the variety was very impressive. Also, I loved the fact that the restaurant staff was super friendly, and the service was great. One of the staff members provided us a free magazine to look for things to do in the city and the other one served us some delicious vegetarian sausages on our table. These sausages weren't available in the buffet, but were freshly prepared for us. One more thing that I appreciated were the environment friendly boxes and bags in the breakfast area that I also used to takeaway some of the food BabyN' had leftover on his plate as I didn't want it to go in waste.

Since husband and BabyN' came prepared to head straight to the pool, they left immediately for Kallima spa, however I joined them later as I was also looking forward to a dip in the pool and especially to spend some relaxing time in the warm Jacuzzi. I think we must've spent more than an hour there before we headed back to the room to finish packing and get ready for check-out.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hilton London Syon Park and we would definitely love to stay there again in the future too.
