Lamb Mince & Spinach Pie recipe

Since 2007, the British Pie Week is taking place every year, during the first week of March and this year, it falls between March 4th - 10th. Being a nation of pie lovers, celebrating the pie week is a brilliant idea for getting the whole family together and getting them involved in cooking, and trying out different pie recipes. Lamb is one of those ingredients that works perfectly in savoury pies, and it isn't just tasty, but it also provides nutritional value to those consuming it. Either you're a fan of savoury pies such as a cottage or shepherd's pie (both pies can include lamb mince as in ingredient), or prefer dessert pies such as an apple, spiced chocolate or a lemon meringue pie, there' s a choice for everyone!

You can either use a crumble or a pasty to create the pie you desire, but some of the most loved pies include cottage and shepherd's pie, but other pie options can also include lamb shank, pea and mint pie or the lamb, rosemary and garlic pie.
So get going and create your favourite recipe and enjoy with your loved ones, either family or friends - Happy British Pie Week!

The Major Ingredient - The Lamb!

Since lamb as an ingredient can be used to prepare lots of different recipes, it is commonly used by people from different cultures all over the world. Every family has their own favourite recipes or their take on the way in which they like to create a recipe. Sometimes, these family recipes are passed down from generations and people continue following the same techniques.

Lamb Try it, Love it

The EU funded Lamb Try it, Love it campaign has enabled people to discover the unique flavours of lamb at their convenience. The lamb mince and spinach pie is the perfect British dish for protein-packed midweek meals. Additionally, the European farms produce premium and high quality European lamb using sustainable practices. The contribution made to the local economies by the farmers for producing the best meat for the consumers is praise worthy as there's nothing like fresh and tender lamb, making it an absolutely exciting ingredient to use in the kitchen while cooking.
