5 Facts About Halloween & Party Ideas
"We are going to celebrate Halloween Day on Saturday," my teacher said. "Yay, that would be fun," I said to myself as I was too shy to speak in the class in front of my teacher and fellow pupils.

My excitement started to grow and I couldn't wait to go home to tell my mum and dad to buy me a costume. I had already started brainstorming the ideas and different possibilities that could be implemented.
On Halloween Day, all the students used to go to school dressed up in spooky attire, each one thinking they were the best! *grin*
It used to be a day event at the school premises and we used to make arts and crafts related to the theme of the party. Its been more than a decade now, I can hardly remember any more details.
Nowadays when I go to the stores, I can't ignore the aisles stacked with all the Halloween related items from things that can be used in dressing up or table ware and decorations, that I actually enjoy seeing!

5 Facts About Halloween
Halloween meaning holy evening is also termed as All Hallows' Eve or All Saints' Eve and is celebrated on the 31st of October. It is mostly observed by the Christians in the West and by some people worldwide. (The word 'some' here also include me *wink*).
Halloween is the first day of Allhallowtide that is a time to remember the dead which includes the saints, martyrs and the faithful people who have departed.
Originally, those who wanted to participate in what is known as 'Trick or Treat,' had to dance on songs in their costumes to get a treat! Trick or treat is a very popular thing to do on Halloween's Eve and the participate go door-to-door asking for a treat or trick (any mischievous act). Last year, a group of naughty boys cracked a huge window of my aunt's house. Hope you guys don't do anything like that. Be good.
In some parts of Ireland, Halloween used to be a great day to find a soul mate. If you are looking for a soul mate for yourself, do it this Halloween. *evilgrin*
In a few American towns, Halloween has also been coined as the "Cabbage Night" during which the girls predicted information about their future husbands using cabbage stumps. Now don't you think Halloween should also be termed as some Lovey Dovey Day? Too much association with the Valentine's!
