Stay at Lamington Serviced Apartments in Hammersmith, London
Lamington serviced apartments were founded by a company established in 1967 and since then they’ve been providing providing quality, long and short term accommodation all across London. Lamington provides high standard of living experience and also the freedom to the guests to cook their own meals, a relaxing atmosphere with space and full privacy. This short term accommodation provided by Lamington is perfect for both leisure and business guests as it works perfectly well, as an alternative to hotels.
Equipped with modern interior, heating and all the necessary appliances in the kitchen, the guests can also get the advantage of guest service during the office opening hours. I believe the concept of serviced apartments is absolutely brilliant, and I really enjoyed staying at one of the properties of Lamington serviced apartments located in Hammersmith, over the weekend with family. Besides providing properties to guests in Hammersmith, Brook Green and Shepherd’s Bush in London, Lamington also has a sister brand called room2 that is located in Southampton and the idea of this hometel is to provide a place with all the comforts as well as security and services provided by a hotel.
Ample parking was available outside our property in Hammersmith and its even free on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Although parking is still available on weekdays, the parking charge is £1.5 per hour I believe from 9:00 am in the morning. We experienced a very smooth check-in at their office that was located just opposite our property and after some quick paper work, we were not just handed over the keys to the property but one of the staff members also accompanied us to ensure we were at the right property and also to show us around and to let us know about the important things such as how the heating worked.
Our accommodation for the weekend was a 2 floor property with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with toilet and another separate toilet upstairs with toiletries and towels and an open plan kitchen as well as a living room with diner downstairs with doors opening to our very own private garden. Both the upstairs rooms had windows with the view of the property’s garden. The first impression after entering the property was very positive - it very neat and clean, very well decorated with a modern theme and pastel colours that were pleasing to the eye.
Downstairs, we also found a surprise for BahyN’ - a birthday cake & a balloon as his birthday was just round the corner and it was such a delight seeing a big smile on his face! Just after settling in and completing the cake cutting ceremony, we decided to grab a hot drink and watch a TV program before getting ready to attend a friend's baby’s welcome party at a nearby restaurant and although I had already ironed my clothes from before, there were still a few creases that I had to get rid of before putting them on, so I quickly grabbed the iron and made my dress wrinkle free! Lovely that the property had an iron and a board available for us.
The kitchen at our property was fully equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, microwave and oven as well as a gas hob. Also, it had all the basics such as the cutlery, pots and pans, glasses and mugs, cleaning essentials. There was also a welcome breakfast pack with different boxes of cereal, tea/coffee, few packs of sugar, salt and pepper and a bottle of milk. I generally carry all my things when staying at a hotel apartment but this time I forget to bring salt and pepper, so that was very handy when I was preparing egg sandwiches for breakfast the next day.
As much as I would’ve loved to have breakfast with family in the garden the next morning, I really couldn’t as both mornings were wet and cold so forcefully changed my mind and enjoyed the hot breakfast on the breakfast table in the kitchen. Immediately after cleaning up, we decided to explore a bit of Hammersmith and headed to the Westfield shopping mall for some shopping. Also, I had to attend the appointment for my eye test at the opticians just located inside the mall, after which we stopped for some gelato before heading to a friend's place for lunch and for dinner we headed to an Indian restaurant in Soho. If you'd like to know about the top family friendly things to do in or near Soho, then you can check out my previous post.
My family and I had a wonderful time staying at the Lamington Serviced Apartment in Hammersmith and besides being modern and beautifully decorated, the property also had a very prime location as it's quite near to the mall, lots of nearby restaurants available, some convenience stores and a train station just within walking distance. Moreover, parking is also one of the major aspects for us to consider whenever we are staying somewhere, and this property can definitely grab all the points from me for fulfilling all our requirements. Would definitely recommend for short term rental apartment in London!
